120m BASE jump fail




Taken in Konakova, Russia. A BASE jumper jumped off the top of an electric pylon, 120m over the snow below.
Then his parachute failed. The guy survived mainly because of the snow, and of course the fact he didn't land on his head. It is estimated that impact velocity was close to 170 km/h which is close to the terminal velocity. The guy broke his legs, pelvis, and some vertebrae. But get this, he was walking again only three months later.
