The Pebble is an e-ink wristwatch that has been designed to sync wirelessly via bluetooth with either an iPhone or Android handset. The wristwatch can run apps and allows the user to control music playback on a phone, use the phone as a workout tool and to receive text messages or caller information from a phone. Additional apps can be browsed via a phone screen and then directly installed on the watch. The battery of the watch lasts about seven days on a full charge. The Pebble started out as kickstarter project and was able to collect $4.5 million in less than a week to fund the project. Not bad!
Expect the Pebble to run around $150 when it becomes available this September.
